Springing
forward, catching prey
That's what I do every day
Through the grass I make my way
Keeping enemies at bay.
But
it's not easy being me
As I have struggled just to be
A creature still remaining free
With preservation of my specie.
In
the past I'd often find
Many others of my kind
Preserving for me ties that bind
Bringing comfort to my mind.
Some
other creatures in the wild
Do not find their life as mild
From their beginning, like a child
Learning of their parent's style.
So
since the coming of my birth
I have continued with my search
Hoping I could be of worth
And make some difference on this earth.
