Christmas Peace
Stillness of falling snow
spreading her white vestment
of priestly, princely peace
upon earth and on soaring trees
jointly arched cathedral-like
over a small and humble cabin,
be a holy icon image of my heart,
upon which can softly descend
heaven’s gift of Christmas Peace.
Christmas Peace comes amidst
disorder, noise and confusion,
settling like a hushed snowfall
upon our holiday haste and stress,
with an awesome sacred power
to fill each heart’s little house
with God’s soundless serenity.
